Spring Social Ads

WEEK OF MARCH 3-7

TASK This week I worked on social media ads for Spring. The inspo board for this task included fun florals and neutral rooms with shadows and natural lighting, so I had a strong sense of direction.

PROCESS I started by searching for floral backgrounds on Adobe Stock. I was hesitant to use images with platforms since getting the angle right can be tricky, but I trusted the process and adjusted them in Photoshop.. Thanks to my experimenting with the evergreen ads, I was able to tweak the brown room by recreating the wood floor to align with the table and, of course, some generative fill. I knew I wanted to incorporate more florals, so I created a few border frames. For the animations, I brought everything to life with a blooming flower effect and floating butterflies.

DESIGN SPOTLIGHT

  • Photoshop’s Generative Fill & Warp helped me adjust backgrounds to the correct angle

  • Canva’s Ink > Splotch helped me create a blooming flower effect

  • Canva’s Custom Animation helped me bring the butterflies to life

Finally learned how to make a realistic shadow!

I love the subtle animations here.
